Lovely home nestled below the Zugspitze. The host was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The home is well maintained and modern. The village is charming with an old world Bavarian feel. Very close to skiing, hiking, biking, whatever you may wish.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay with friends at this beautiful house- peaceful, with lovely views, and easy access to the picturesque centre of Grainau and surrounding landscape. The house has been decorated to a high spec, with great areas to relax and enjoy the view, and also very helpful hosts. It is near to the tram/bus/train and onwards to countless adventures: gorges, cable cars up mountains, Lake Eibsee, bike trails, and the local pool etc. We would love to return again. Thank you to our fabulous hosts for sharing their home.

This is the easiest review to write: WOW! The property is close to everything. The surrounding areas are wonderful and family friendly. I hesitate to say more because, selfishly, I want our family of k-7 to be able to come back and not compete with you...but WOW, such a great experience!

We stayed at this Alpenperle for 4 days, 4 adults, 3 children, and a dog. The house has exceeded all expectations. It is located very close and convenient to all attractions in Allgaeu. 10-15 minutes away from GAP, a few minutes away from the Zugspitze lift, and on the road to Austria with an easy access to Innsbruck and Fuessen. I'd love to book it again next year. Oh! The Alpen Baeck bakery is only 3 minutes away by foot.

If you are looking for a home base to explore the beautiful region of southern Bavaria, look no further. This home has everything your family will need for a perfect stay. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with all the amenities you need for your stay. We travelled with our young son and my ailing father (with limited mobility) and the house met our needs terrifically. I was able to cook many meals in the spacious and well stocked kitchen. My favorite part about the house is the location and the view. Photos just don't do it justice! When the sun rises and starts to shine on the snow capped peaks, it's breath taking. There is a lovely sitting area just outside the kitchen where you can enjoy breakfast and some coffee and marvel at the lovely landscape. Plus you are so close to everything. Super close to the train in town and only a 15 minute drive to the larger station in Garmisch, where it was a 2 hour (VERY SCENIC) train ride to Munich (Oktoberfest!). It's a 30 minute drive to Oberammagau which has the famous passion play and a very fun alpine coaster (a must if you are bringing kids OR need to bring out your inner kid, super fun). Don't miss the abbey in Ettal on your way. Amazing history! (and terrific beer, also a great cheese shop on the way too). It's an easy drive to Mittelwald and to Innsbruck as well. Truly this house is fantastic. Plus, our Host was accessible and very kind. Only hoping this property doesn't become so popular that it's not available next time we come back!
